Why HireVPS

Three things we get right

We list specs as they are, and only promise what we can deliver. Every machine you rent matches exactly what's on this page.

Dedicated hardware, not a VM

The CPU, GPU, and memory of the whole Mac mini belong to you alone. Run Xcode builds, record audio, or run inference — you get exactly the performance listed on the spec sheet, with no noisy neighbors eating your cycles.

Daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly — your call

Only need three days for a real-device regression pass? Then you only pay for three days. Once you're settled in, switch to monthly billing — proration rules are laid out clearly, and monthly plans come with a discount. No fine-print tricks.

Asia-Pacific + US-West, low latency

Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and US-West — none of them far from you or your users. Every node runs 365 days a year with no scheduled downtime; reference latency to our Tokyo node from nearby regions is around 60ms, so typing code never feels sluggish.

iOS · macOS Developers

No Mac? You can still ship to the App Store

  • Windows/Linux is your daily driver, but you occasionally need Xcode to sign and build
  • Compatibility testing across multiple macOS versions — spin up several in parallel
  • Real-device regression testing before an App Store release — renting by the day is the most cost-effective option
CI/CD Teams

Stop bottlenecking your build queue on that one shared Mac

  • GitHub Actions self-hosted runner, set up in ten minutes
  • Jenkins Mac node with dedicated compute for consistent build times
  • Fully hostable pipeline for Unity / React Native iOS builds
AI Experimenters

Unified memory makes running local LLMs a real pleasure

  • M4 Pro with 64GB unified memory — smooth inference for 7B–32B models
  • MLX / llama.cpp environments install out of the box, root access to tinker freely
  • Cancel the moment your experiment wraps up — never pay a cent for idle GPU time
Getting Started

Node Locations

Five data centers, covering you and your users

Latency figures are reference ping times from major regions to each node; actual results depend on your network — we're upfront about that.

View full latency table

Singapore · SG

Best for Southeast Asia, typical ping ~80ms

Tokyo · JP

Lowest latency from East Asia, typical ping ~60ms

Seoul · KR

Nearest hop for Northeast Asia, typical ping ~40ms

Hong Kong · HK

Shortest path for South China, typical ping ~30ms

US West · US-W

Steadiest path to Apple services, typical ping ~150ms

Unity Builds
"Our whole team is on Windows — we used to borrow a coworker's MacBook for iOS builds. Now CI pushes straight to a Citrus M4 in the Tokyo node, and shipping a build is just another step in the pipeline."
Cross-platform game studio · Tech Lead
TestFlight Distribution
"The week before launch I rented an M4 by the day, built and signed every day, and pushed to TestFlight. The whole thing cost less than a nice dinner — way better value than a Mac mini gathering dust."
Indie developer · App Store launch diary
Local LLMs
"Running a 32B quantized model on 64GB of unified memory, inference is fast enough for product prototyping. I cancel the day I'm done experimenting, so costs stay reassuringly predictable."
Independent AI researcher · Blaze M4 Pro user
Remote Mixing
"Rented a US-West node by the week to run Logic Pro. Musicians in different cities joined in via screen sharing to work on the project together — migrating plugin licenses went smoother than I expected."
Audio studio · Remote collaboration project

The Three Most Common Questions Before Ordering

Let's clear up the concerns upfront

Is it really dedicated hardware? Could it secretly be a VM slice?

It's a full physical Mac mini, not virtualized. You get root access, so you're free to install any version of Xcode or reinstall macOS. It's just like having the machine sitting on your own desk — except it happens to live in a data center.

How does daily billing work? Can I switch to monthly partway through?

Billing runs by calendar day, with any partial day rounded up to a full day. You can switch to weekly, monthly, or quarterly billing at any time — days already paid are prorated against the daily rate, and the rules are spelled out clearly on the plans page.

What happens to the data on the machine after I cancel?

During your rental period we never access or back up any data on your machine. After you cancel, we perform a full wipe and OS reinstall before the machine is handed to another customer. See our Privacy Policy for the full process.
